Mrs Onyenwe graduated from Abia State University with a Second Class - Upper Division Degree in Law (LLB) in 1996 and was called to the Nigerian Bar by the Council of Legal Education with Bachelor at Law (BL) in 1998. She is also a Chartered Arbitrator.
Before joining United Geophysical (Nig) Limited in 2002, she worked with Shell Petroleum Development company (SPDC) as a trainee Legal Adviser attached to DTW-GPH, Warri from 1999-2002. She was employed by UG(N)L in 2002 as a Legal Officer and rose to become the Legal Manager in 2007. She was later promoted to a management position before being appointed the companies first female Alternate Director, Legal and Compliance in March 2021.
